Onward Through The Baby Powder

So we have arrived at the fascination of all things Potty related in our Journey with our almost 3 yr. old daughter Shayla. The bathroom has taken on an almost amusement park kind of draw for her. Now she looks for opportunities to have a reason to go to the potty. I don't really know how you do that other than actually having to go, but she does. It seems as if she can go pee on the suggestion or question alone. Funny. She's a pee machine. I swear more comes out than goes in, but I guess I'm missing something here. Oh well. :) (I'm learning to say that a lot...the 'Oh well' part. :) )
The bathroom ritual has become quite extensive now and of course she wants to be involved in every part of it beyond the actual going and wiping, so we oblige as much as possible. There's the actual going, then ("No, wait...don't stand up.") the wiping, then the emptying of her little potty into the toilet, then the rinsing out and re-emptying, the putting it (potty) back together, closing the lid, flushing the toilet itself, the washing of the hands, and then finally the re-diapering and re-clothing of the bithday suit. Whew! Each little venture takes 10-15 minutes and it's our new little in-house adventure still holding 2nd place second week running in the Top Ten Exciting Things To Do At Any Given Time list in the Shayla's World periodical that comes out monthly.
It's fun for the whole family. :) Seriously, I'm pleased that she's finally taken to the process, however the initial resistance is understandable to a point. "Why should I want to go in a specific location everytime I need to when as it stands I can go whenever and whereever I want", they may think? To that we all think, "Ah child, the selling point shall be when it dawns upon you that you too can be free and clean of your own personal debris and leave it where it comes out.....once you cease being fascinated with it, of course (smile)".
The journey continues...onward through the clouds of baby powder.....
