I have to admit that I was a little scared and apprehensive of what her fourth year might bring, but I have to say that so far it's been a lot of fun. If you've had kids you know that there are many 'ups and downs' to the development process of a little person, that quite frankly, can scare you, as a parent. You know that in a lose sense of the word, you have to, in a way 'eat' (or at least handle, and deal with) whatever they come up with. This can lend a little apprehension to the parental process, as you well know. Not that you are willing to admit that you are 'scared' of your kid, and no, I am not, but most parents, I imagine learn to stand 'at the ready', as we surely have....and I know we have yet to get to 'the good stuff'--the stuff of real skill assessment. :)
But.....
I didn't make this post in order to air my fears, so pardon my previous soliloquy. :)
Shayla is great and we're having so much fun getting to know each other. Today we had a little tea party wherein we had a fresh batch of 'dirt tea'. This was by her design and imagination and I must say that it allows one the essence of being truly grounded. Of course it was all pretend and organic! So how can you lose with that arrangement??
She's so much fun to get to know as she becomes more and more multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. She's a true gem of a daughter: a Blessing in my life.
